Selmer S80 E Mouthpiece for Tenor sax

Hi all,

I have the above mouthpiece for sale, in good condition with some expected browning, it is ebonite and an older one, no original lig I'm afraid. this is an E and I just cannot get anything out of it on my Tenor. I really need to see £55.00 on it to include 5% to the charity and also includes signed for-Specidal delivery within the Uk, Europe is about £8-£10 signed for airmail.

Photos to follow shortly, oh, I have a lig which fits, it does have some marks/dinting to the top- but is stamped Martin. in a triangle, I am happy to include this aswell- it works but has minor damage.

P.P.S. Help, I cannot get a note out of an E mouthpiece, which way should I go? is there such a thing as a B!lol.

Selmers go from B to H. An E is 2.11mm 0.083" half way between a link 5 and 5*

I just cannot understand it, I used to play with the Berg 100/1 sms- for quite a while until going over to Alto, I can't get anything out of this using a la-voz or Rico Royal, yet is far smaller than the Berg if I am going by the chart correctly?!

Playing a C* on Alto fine.. I'm going to have another go.

It might just be an embouchure issue, when I played the bari and then tried the yam 4c I couldn't get a note out until I relaxed my embouchure more. It took a while to do it. Also reed strength can make a diff on different openings?

Thanks J, 😳😳😳 indeed you are right, I feel so silly, read your post, scraped a La-voz down lol, and it plays though still seems to be a large chamber mouthpiece. I guess I have been on alto for a while now. Still, I must go to a shop and try lots, I really must make this a priority.
