I intend putting my old Alto on Ebay before close of play on Sunday 12th as they are offering free listings.... Cheapskate I hear you cry...
But before I do I thought I would offer it to the Forum with the usual 5 per cent to Pete's charity.
I will be listing it with a starting price of £30 and postage of £20. In the vain hope of somebody bidding it up around the £100 mark.
If any of you skilled technicians are interested then feel free to PM me otherwise I will be listing it tomorrow.
It is in working order at least to the level I have been performing at. Here follows the planned Ebay item description...
Schwarzschild Super Sax in very good condition for its age.
No dings, dents or scratches as far as I can tell. No obvious leaks. The mechanism is in full working order and the pads are in good condition. Last played today.
As with any used musical instrument it may benefit from an overhaul although if I were keeping it I would not be having it serviced yet. The only known 'fault' is a slight slackness in the neck joint but this does not affect its playability.
This alto saxophone was purchased from Jaques Samuel in London about 1995 but was hardly played until last year. (My dog didn't appreciate my musical talents...)
It has been my primary sax until I switched to Tenor earlier this year.
Item comprises saxophone, Selmer plastic mouthpiece and metal ligature, Rigid carrying case.
Available for free collection or will ship by next day courier within the UK
