Beginner scaleclimbing

Nick Wyver nailed it. It is almost a blues scale but the third is major rather than flatted.

I recognize this as a portion of a very common walking bass line used in the blues. It consists of

Root, M3, 4th, #4th, 5th [4th 3rd 5th Root] or Root, M3, 4th, #4th, 5th, [6th, b7, M7, Root]

It is also reminiscent of the last half of the Be-bop scale which contains both a flatted and major 7th (leading tone)
