It's been a day a long day in the making, but I now think that I think that I'm finally physically able to hang my saxophone off of the wall, there's just one or two small problems. The saxophone wall hangers themselves, we're not exactly spoilt for choice, now I'm giving you good folks until 1pm of Monday December 15 to help me resolve this issue, please note that this is GMT, AKA British Time, United Kingdom Time, or more importantly Nomad's Time, and restricted to ordering from the mainland United Kingdom or U.K. based ebay sellers - I sold my soul years ago I don't care if I help a serial tax dodger dodge more taxes.
Now as you can imagine I'm quite excited about the prospect of finally being able to do something manly and useful around the house, looking gorgeous reclined on the sofa does eventually become tedious and boring believe it or not, even though I do it so well and make it look so easy. So my master plan is this, by the end of next week I will not only hang up a guitar or 2 but hang saxophone off of the wall as well, hence the strict Monday 1pm time limit.
Now cafesaxophoners your mission is two fold should you decide to accept the mission. Firstly there is the locating of and buy of a saxophone wall mount, and secondly there is the actual getting of ones hands dirty and doing the actual graft. And did I mention that there is a fast approaching deadline - 15/12/2014 @ 1pm, so I'm hoping for a lot of help here people, slacking will not be tolerated - I will hide the prawn cocktail flavoured pringles, try me
Now over the last week or so I have been squirreling away the much needed supplies for this endeavor, I have the correct mounting kits - yes plural there is at least 1 bass guitar that will be mounted on the wall at the same time as the saxophone, fo.r both solid and dry wall, I have all the guitar mounting brackets - it's actually a headstock hook. What I need dfrom you guys is a saxophone mounting bracket, I'm planning on mounting an alto saxophone and so far this has been about the best source of saxophone mounts I have been able to find : http://www.sax.co.uk/accessories-saxophone-stands-locoparasaxo-wall-mounted-stands.irc
With this bracket being my favourite : http://www.sax.co.uk/locoparasaxo-parker-alto-sax-wall-mounted-sax-stand.ir
Now this is where you good people - and ProfJames if he feels so inclined, come in to play, is this basically all there is to choose from for wall mounting a saxophone? Does anybody know of any other types of saxophone wall mounts? Pleasegive me liks, smoke signals flairs I don't know but the dead line for ordering in 1 pm on the 15/12/2014 so that I can have all the work finished by next weekend - there are a lot of guitars to go up.
Thanks in advance for all the slave labour.
