Recommendation for saxophone duets

+1 for the James Rae Jazzy Duets. Also to get the fingers moving Lennie Niehaus Jazz Conception for Saxophone Duets - this has the advantage of an accompanying playalong CD which I think you can remove either of the parts by playing it through different channels (?).....

The James Rae books are very good. His Easy Blue Saxophone Duets is excellent too. Also very good is Creative Saxophone Duets by Kellie Santin and Cheryl Clark. This has music that works for both Alto and Tenor, AND it has a CD playalong as well. The CD has both saxophone parts playing together on it, and you can play along to either the lead or the second line according to whether you pan your CD player to full left or full right. However this is not possible unless you're using a proper HiFi player. Not to worry, the trick is to use headphones and to listen to only one earpiece at a time. This works well.
