Now I think this is some of the funkiest sax you are likely to here. If i was looking for something to aim for in my playing, assuming I lived to be 327 years old, this is the groove I aspire to. I love the way the cacophonic breakdown in the middle contrasts so well with the pure groove of the main theme either side. The pleasure of returning to the groove after the breakdown throws it into sharp relief.

From a few lines on the piano of 'the Volga Boatman', because they had no idea what to do next, the band had it jammed, wriitten, recorded and in the can in under an hour. Now a funk classic for ever!
