Both were the understated, non-flamboyant members, providing stability and heart for their respective bands.
Brian Travers very down-to-earth in interviews, despite the drama around Ali Campbells leaving and the feud of the brothers. Charlie Watts great Jazzman outside of his work with the Stones.
Grounded hard-working musicians to admire.

Oh no! Not Charlie too.
I learned to play jumping around the living room playing along to UB40's Signing off. Wore it out and bought another copy.
The sax lines are perfectly simple to my ear.

Hard to come by now, but try and search out the 1986 film of the 'The Charlie Watts Orchestra – Live At Fulham Town Hall'. A spectacle to remember, with so many of the greatest British jazz musicians gathered in one place, they doubled up on nearly every instrument for a wall of sound!

The saxophone section featured Peter King, Ray Warleigh, Willie Garnett, Gail Thompson, Alan Skidmore, Bobby Wellins, Courtney Pine, Danny Moss, Don Weller and Evan Parker!
