It's a rare Mk VIII lamppost, but I think it has been re-laquered.

The lamppost is a homage to George Formby. The idea for the lamppost probaly came from Jean Luc Godard's cameraman Raoul Coutard.
Richard Marx robbed the sentiment from George's song but changed the title, the melody and the lyrics cos he can't play ukelele very well.
I mean just think about it; Richard Marx stood up there in the spotlight with a lamppost and a ukelele singing "Waiting for you".
No way, Oh me Oh my,
