The dates have just been published for next year's course, and, as someone who has attended the previous two, I would highly recommend it.

Sarah and Debbie run an excellent course, and the accommodation and food are first rate.

I think an absolute beginner would struggle with it, but if you have, say, 12 month's experience and reasonable sight reading skills, you'll be ok. You certainly don't have to be an expert, and will be matched with people of a similar skill level.

I fly back to the UK on the 3rd grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That's both this and Stacks Of Sax I'll miss out on. Who knew Christmas was some kind of national sax fest!?!

Is it an annual thing or is there likely to be another one any time soon?

This is an annual event each January- usually the first week of the year. The same tutors ( I think ) run a similar course at Knuston Hall in Northamptonshire each year in May/June.

I've been on viol weekends at Alston Hall - it's a nice Victorian venue in rural Lancashire in nice countryside. Very pleasant.

Rico, quite correct Sarah and Debbie, do hold a similar course at Knuston Hall. Recommended.
