I'm stripping down a Yanagisawa 900u tenor and numerous pivot screws are impossible to remove. The screw slots are fine and it appears that Yanagisawa possibly use a thread locker as they are ridiculously fast. One solution is to apply heat to the post after penetrating fluid has been applied but other suggestions would be welcomed.
This is the second Yanagisawa I have worked on and they both appear to have poor quality initial set ups - the first one had pads that weren't properly seating, and that was brand new!
