I haven't posted on SOTW for a while - in fact I haven't looked at SOTW in quite a while. I'm looking forum that is (for me) a bit more to the point than what SOTW seems to have become. I find I almost invariably agree with Pete's opinions about things musical, and I've developed a habit of pinching some of his online resources for my teaching, so, with a bit of luck, this is the forum for me.

Hi, stefank, and welcome to the Cafe!

I must admit I rarely go on SOTW - just for specialised searches, often to do with equipment reviews/purchases where it has been useful. I hope that you find something that you are after here - its a great Forum, and Pete is a top man!:w00t:;}

Kind regards

Welcome to the superior forum (although I'm not saying superior to what ...;}) I'm sure you'll soon feel at home here.

Welcome to Cafe Saxophone. By the way, there is nothing wrong with SOTW. It simply shows that there are many views on lots of things, and one should feel free to ignore whatever is of no interest.

There's lot's of great stuff on SOTW, but I have become frustrated the the sheer volume of (what is to me) trivia and endless circular argument one has to wade through after clicking on "new posts" there. However I'm sure these things are important to those that write them.

Hi stefank and welcome.

To me both forums are very different, and I don't think either can be what the other one is so I don't think of it as a superiority issue or that there's any (or much) competition. As you probably know I am quite frequent on there and used to be a moderator. There's obviously more info on a forum that large, just as much as there is more misinfo.

G'day Stefank,
Welcome to the forum yes each forum (Sotw) is of value! They also reflect the character of the posters (or character of the characters that inhabit their respective forums)
And in my opinion the moderaters and rules set also set the theme of the forum.
All in all welcome… enjoy yourself.
Ciao
Jimu
