I just got a ReedJuvinate ™

I love it!

See the mini review on my reed page:

Will write a bigger review when I have had a chance to test it, however based on what I see before even using it in anger, this is a brilliant system for reed storage.

Fits any size reed, you can vary the amount of liquid humidificator (Listerine is recommended, but I will try vodka and pisco)

I use the small food containers with lockable lids but I suspect even the smallest is bigger than this. It might be handy if I gigged with a straight sop where the case is useless for storage or a Hiscox alto one which is similarly useless.

Long thread on these, here: http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?206362-Reedjuvinate

Post #72 says he uses rubbing alcohol? Isn't that surgical spirit?
I have some Isopropyl Alcohol, but surely it'd evaporate and leave the reed dry?

Can't find a UK supplier. Maybe Pete will be?

Or... DIY, just add sponge...

I've just ordered one of these for each of my main horns' cases. Been deliberating over it for a while but so many people have now said how good they are that I've succumbed...which I also did with the reedgeek recently. Money well spent imho.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
