As I regularly check on eBay for all Martin saxophones for sale there appears to be a diminishing amount. Only twenty Martin horns for sale today. Are they becoming more popular?
There just seems to be a lack of them on eBay! Used to be two or three pages full of them. Don't know if it is the same for all vintage horns or not....Dunno about Martin saxes but Pamelas Music has a couple of Martin horns for sale , they`re not common though

I think you are right major. I couldn't bear to part with her anyway! I am keen to get a lacquered version as well. They are just such strange horns! And they sound great every so often when I play correctly! Just started playing again after ten months but it is like being a learner again! Forgotten all I had learnt in the previous eighteen months!I think the Ebay crowd have cottoned on to the fact that Martins are very desirable horns and were asking silly amounts for the lesser ones, (I hasten to add that most Martins are astonishingly good across the range), I had an Indiana alto which I regret selling to this day, I've also played a couple of tenors which were decidedly average. A well set up example is a joy to play, hang on to that Master Prof I think you might just have the best of both worlds, a player and an investment.
but silver's betterI am keen to get a lacquered version as well
Aaaah, check the gallery.................I have a silver one already! Have to get a matching pair! New GAS!but silver's better
Doctor Saxwinds and myself are in discussion! There's another in Virginia and a gold plated one that will cost as much as DavidUK's SBA! First I need a job then I need to keep off the beer to afford my new flock of Martins!supply tends to fluctuate on ebay - plus it depends if you search on Ebay.com or Ebay.co.uk - I spotted 48 Martins on Ebay.com and I didn't search for all the stencils.... but not all of them will ship to the UK and there'd be import costs etc
Didn't spot a matching Typewriter for you.. oh hang on, there's a lacquer one here - http://doctorsaxwoodwinds.com/product/martin-typewriter-alto-sax/
now all you need is a matching silver plated tenor...
