Hi everyone,not sure if this the correct place to post this but here goes. Would like some advice on how to record some practice sessions with a band,i am currently having a play with,so that we can listen to how it sounds,and i can play it back at home and see what needs to taking out or adding to with sax.Looking for something portable,good quality,also are any machines able to be used to play backing tracks or cd tracks,i am not techy minded so would like something simple to use...like me!!!.Thanks Bumnote.

Even Zoon H1 (the super-basic version).
Setting a recording level works better than autolevel. You just have to make some experiments.

What about a CD player? I am not sure they still make them.

I have a friend who did decent recordings with a tascam Im2 with his iphone 4s. He got it for 10 euros because for some people iphone 4s is too old so its accesories have depreciated in value.
