Psssst - Antibalas at the Barbican

Vientiane, Laos
Pssst.......Antibalas are making one of their rare excursions over the Pond. :w00t::welldone If anyone hasn't checked this band out they are an absolutely storming 12 man Afrobeat Band from Brooklyn. With a sound coming from the legendary era of Fela Kuti, they take Afrobeat Funk to a whole new level with their sycopated highly orchestrated horn section. Their Baritone is especially impressive, playing it with the dexterity of an Alto.

Tickets are a mere 10 quid, and there is a whole afternoon of African Jazz and Afrobeat funk, including the Benin's Gangbe Brass Band. I'll be there for sure, i'll be flying over from Denmark specially. Details below,
Cheers - Alan

Opening the show are Benin's 8-piece Gangbe Brass Band, who blend traditional African sounds with western big-band jazz
