My PPT Tenor 8* MP arrived today :w00t:
I have just given it it first try out remembering it is replacing a 7* ...
First impressions are great... the notes in the low register are coming out easier ( In fact I am noticing the higher the * No. The better the low register. On the 5* I could not blow a low D clearly)
I have to thank Pete for applying the discounted price... very generous of him ... as I ordered it prior to the discount being available :welldone
Now back to do some more blowing....

Adrian

Just make sure that you don't lose it on the beach...............;} What is this 5* that you mention? Is it a typo, or was it a special order?

I received my PPT 7* a few days ago and I can't make my mind up about it - I've been used to darker or brighter mouthpieces and don't know whether this is too inbetween, neither one thing nor t'other. It is more resistant than my normal mouthpiece - a Phil-Tone Custom .112.

Anyway happy blowing!

Enjoy it Adrian! I'm having a ball at the moment with my 8*. Oh, and you need to change your signature! ;}

I am sorry about the cryptic post... Originally I had a Otto Link 5 (since sold) replaced with a Jody Jazz 6* (better but not right) then a Theo Wanne 7* (much better intonation)... Now (as of today) my PTT 8*... which I think, at this stage is going to be better still... I will let you know.. better still maybe a sound track.. ;}

Yes please Adrian,
I have to say that I thought all of the notes on your tracks sounded good to me. So I'm looking forward to hearing the PPT.

John.

Well if today was your first session with the PPT, it sounds great!
As is to be expected for a while, there are one or two intonation probs. but I think, when you adapt to it, it will be all that anyone could ask for.
I liked it :welldone:welldone:welldone

Er, I'm not biased of course.

That sounds just great Saxade, sounds like you will soon have the MkV1 singing a sweet as bird.:thumb:

Cheers
