Heres a few quick and very basic sound clips on my PPT mp.1 is at a gig so you hear what its like on a good rig,and 2 clips are very very basic, just put on cd and pressed record on the zoom and played so no effects, tracking nothing so its rather raw but gives a ruff idea on it.

I found myself in a similar acoustic situation recently with my H1.

Try using a multiband compressor to get rid of that snare drum.

Not looked at the zoom yet.Just got it,pressed record. It is what it is,a quick raw demo of the PPT.As for the snare drum the zoom was 4 foot behind the band on the stage and not out front so i think on that it still recorded well and again its just a ruff idea how the mp sounds on a gig for me.

That piece sounds great for that kind of music, but the bottom end is missing from the recording. I am still experimenting with the zoom, and sometimes recordings can be really good.

Sounds good Davey! It's a nice piece. Seems to subtone well.

Cheers me mucka. As said its very raw recording.Had the zoom 2 days, just hit the button and blew just to show how versitile the PPT is and this is not a review or finished thing. In the flesh the PPT is more fatter and does have a huge bottom end.Plus on the live clip i wanted to show how fat the altissimo notes are.Plus i'm a modern player and not Ben Webster and i always like atad cut, edge and that zing to my sound.

Cool sounds Davey, - i think the H2N is an amazing piece of kit. I too have recently acquired one, and was really impressed at the quality of the recording, having not even read the instruction manual and just pressed record. For live 'on the go' recordings, it does a great job for what is a little over a hundred quid. - would'nt mind hearing more of your sounds once you've cracked the intruction manual - i for one find the technical stuff a total head#!*%

Yea the tech stuff,Arghhhhhhhh.Plan on getting it sussed out also.Get my head in the book.

Loads of energy there Davey. The Zoom has recorded you well and I really like your sound on that piece.

Rhys

PS Was the Zoom inside the snare drum ?

Good davey! Really good. The balance between you and the band sounds good - if you could quieten the drummer a touch... (asking the impossible, I know).

They are loud !!!!!!!! He's the boss !!!!!!!!! no mics on the drums. It was just a rehearsal and so it is what it is.Very basic sound clip.

Ha ha, yes the dreaded snare demon. We where in a large circle with the number of people in the band so the sound is all over the shop.I just stood the zoom 3 feet behind me and pressed record so theres no true mix sound.I only wanted to hear myself really >:) as for the PPT its a great mix of sounds of all the mps i like and its such an easy blower and reed friendly.Well done Pete and Morgan Fry i say :welldone

Once again fine playing and lots of excitement. Was the Zoom in the same placement (behind?). Would be a good idea to get the zoom out front and centre so that you get some idea of the mix the audience would hear. The zoon is very good that way as it won't favour any instrument. If the drum comes up as strong out front, it's worth playing that back to the drummer. No matter that he's the boss, if he's a real musician he should adjust. If he doesn't, well, says heaps and I'd be thinking about another band, especially with your ability.

These new ruff clips are at lastnites rehearsal for yet another band the boss owns.Theres 6 people there standing in a circle so the best place was behind me to hear the sax.Its just a ruff demp again.Checkout www.hipoperation.co.uk ,the boss has 3 of these bands all the same,we are clones. We won this years best wedding band in the UK in London and are now award winners. He also has our new 14 piece big band www.supanovalive.co.uk which i'm in and the rehearsal clips is for another new band by him called www.fabnightout.co.uk which is a touring theatre show with the voice of Tony Blackburn (he got him to record the stuff with him in London and the gags are by the Viz comic wrighter) between songs so as you can see he's no numpty. He was in Prefab Sprout.

Hmmm. There's a quote about being one people divided by the same language. I haven't got a clue what you're saying.

Ha ha, your so right there.Numpty just means ,thick head, numb skull you get the drift. As for prefab sprout they had a few big hits many years ago and had some fame.I am a big northern slang talking geordie (north east of UK) we are a legend with our crazy twang.Checkout youtube for some laughs of us proud geordies trying to speak to people from anywhere else, they do look rather puzzuled.WE I MAN LIKE A SAY LIKE.AM GANNING DOON THE TOON LIKE. = Yes, i am going into town.
