Saxophones Powertone Alto

Anyone ever played and owned a Powertone Alto?

What are they like? What level of player are they aimed at? What price would you expect to pay for one secondhand?

Hi, I had one for a few weeks when i was at school. That was about thirty two years ago, and the sax represented the state of student saxes at the time. Badged as Boosey and Hawkes Powertone, they were the same as the Lafleur of the same period. OK, pretty solidly built (in Czechoslovakia, I think), but really not that great. Looking at the saxes listed in your sig, you're used to pretty good instruments, and I think you might find a Powertone a bit clunky. I wouldn't pay more than £100 for one now.
