Hello all.......
My name is Mike Milillo and I'm a musician/composer.
My only advice I could possibly convey to any up and coming musician/composer,

or

To any musician/composer who has up-ed and come-ed, is this...

(In my best religious connotation utilizing baritone voice)

You say you're seeking something uniquely progressive and stagnation is getting on your nerves?
Has the II-V-I progression closed in on you?
If you play Autumn Leaves one more time it will send you over the edge?

Then I have just what the Doctor ordered!

When you come across a fine line in which is not usually crossed in artistic terms, then by all means cross it
and never let that fine line influence your direction ever again. Listen to the sounds of your heart.

This has been a non-paid environmental assessment.

Hi Mike and welcome to the cafe, although we have chatted in the past. Although your music is not to my personal taste, I'm somewhat jelous of your ability to hear and create such different compositions.
I will keep listening to them, you never know, one day......

Hello Taz,
Thank you!
It's perfectly fine that my work is not your cup of tea. There's so much music in the world and always something for everyone. I'm just an incredibly infinitesimal part of the equation. My page is always open.

Welcome to the caff©, Mike.

When you're approaching 75, Autumn Leaves is all you can play with emotion. Criticise it again and I'll fetch you a hefty whack with my Zimmer frame or get my nurse to do it. >:)

ENJOY!™

Oops! Sorry man...I guess you'll be doing a lot hefty whacking on me then....lol.
I'm not quite your age (57) but I've played all these tunes before, many years ago. They served a place in a particular point in my development. It was time to move on that's all, but that's just me and I can safely assume also for many others who remain obscure as a result of tunes like Autumn Leaves that never stop falling to the ground.

Haha...don't get me wrong.......For some, Autumn Leaves has a real function and music should be enjoyable no matter what it is
we choose to do.
However, for those that are clawing at the walls for inspiration and seeking the next realm, then Autumn Leaves is not the vehicle for that.

There's always 'Summertime'.........lol

Thanks for the welcome old git!
