Politics here in Cafe Saxophone?

Why? Do saxophonists have a particularly interesting and different slant on politics?

They’re not allowed here, btw

This is not one of those websites. We tried it once re: Brexit and it didnt go well. SOTW also tried it once when Mr Obama was elected and that didn’t go well either.

There are other sites that cater to political and philosophical discussions, and even there seems difficult to properly moderate, as some lack proper manners and an inability to civily discuss, resorting to insults, taunts, outbursts, and etc.

I enjoy the Café as it lacks such. (Although we do have a few curmudgeons, but they are good of heart. 😉 )

All other groups have been canvassed. We’re last on the list folks, but make your saxophone vote count.

The answer is yes, I vote for the saxophone!

Reading the 'comments' below items, when allowed, on other sites such as the news can be quite entertaining as they degenerate into a level somewhere below a children's playground or behind a pub.
On occasion humour might also break out until suppressed by those with none.

This is a religion
Only when discussing trinitarian doctrine: the ii V I
People who;
- always paly the 7
- only play the 7 on special occasions
- like a 13
- allow substitution
- believe the iiVI is just a chord progression
- only play rhythm changes!
- esoteric atonality
- ...
We'll never be unified.

Meaning that you follow it for your whole life unless you choose to denounce it.
Frequently question it.
Search within yourself to be better
Etc
It’s a grim religion. Apart from the occasional Hallelujah. 😩🙄

I've been looking for a banjo forum that allows saxophone discussions. No luck.
And yet people discuss the Banjo here
