Saxophones Playing the Same note on Tenor and Alto

If you play a note on the Alto, say the low A, that tranposes up 5 semitones on the Tenor to the first D using the register key.

Is that correct?

A on alto is C in concert pitch, which is D on tenor. And yes, lowest A on alto (2 finger LH) would be D (3 fingers on each hand) + register key. Cos the alto actually plays below, not above concert pitch, and the tenor is below alto.
