I think that Phil Woods has one of the loveliest alto sounds ever, but this video doesn't record him at his best.

What about a recording from the '70s, this one from 'Live at the Showboat' which I have on LP?


And don't forget the sax solo that Phil Woods plays on Billy Joel's 'Just the Way You Are'
