Received in US after only two weeks from order, the new hard rubber design which replaces Phil's Babbitt-Meyer reworks.
Mine is a 6=.076". The rolled baffle and round chamber are similar to JodyJazz HR* 6=.078; the throat is a bit larger. (My observations; might be missing something big, not a MP guru.) It seals well to reed, is easy to blow, and finish is as outstanding as one expects from Phil's reputation and experience.
I've moved from 2.5 V16 to Java Green to current Java Red filed (with Selmer single-screw lig) with my JJ MP seeking a more brassy sound. Le Son is pleasing after one play, clearly different from JJ HR*. I have to try various reeds and record to characterize and better understand the bell-side tone.
I think this piece will be a big hit!
