Not sure if anyone posted this - but I just heard that Pete King ( the other one, not the alto player ) passed away at the end of December.

Yes I saw that, bit of an unsung hero. Everyone at the club knew how much he did and put into it all, but of course always in the shadow of Ronnie.

My fond memories of Pete? When my manager asked him to book me once. His response was "Why the **** would would I book him?"

I did play there later though.

There was a great article in Jazzwise a couple of months ago about the 50th anniversary of Ronnie Scott's and it showed just how much he did behind the scenes. RIP

He'll be sadly missed.
