Im looking at a scale diagram of the pentatonic scales and D maj /B min
has F and C sharp marked ... but there is no C in the Dmajor /Bminor pentatonic scale .
Should I put this down to a typo.

A lot of the other scales on the page have the same ??????

Even if you're only playing a pentatonic you're still in the key of D major so it's normal to put the correct key signature.

Hmmm . . . Every piece built around a pentatonic scale could have the key signature of the subdominant and no one would be the wiser listening to the music.

Are pentatonic scales for those who can only count up to five?

If so, count me in.

Kev,
Don't blame me, It is that wicked Aldevis that is encouraging drift..

If you really want to get into it. Try the pedantatonic scale. Arguably the best sounding.

Certainly better sounding than the "traumatic scale". Can you spell that one out for me? I must have been absent that day in music school.
