Accessories Pageflip Firefly just arrived

Just got my new foot switch page turner and paired it with the iPad.
Really pleased with it, and hoping to try it out on Friday when we do one of our regular gigs in the dementia unit of a local nursing home. Bit nervous about trusting completely in new technology, wondering whether I should take paper backup. Anyone had experience with the Firefly or problems with it please?
Apologies if this is in the wrong place mods, my first new thread.

I have no experience of any page turner (although I do have ForScore score reader on my iPad)

should you take the paper music? absolutely! at least if it all goes pear-shaped, you can play on.

Also, unless you bought the sheet music as PDFs(or other soft copy) your paper sheet music is your only proof that you own the originals! A scan to PDF is a copy and you can't play from a copy at a performance! AIUI.

Thanks Mandy, good point. I will make sure my Musicroom.com originals are poking out of the top of my bag. I'm using Forscore with iPad as well, yet another good idea I picked up from the cafe. My worry is, is my Firefly purchase the start of a slippery slope and how would I know if it was? Before venturing out into the cafe, gas was something we heated the house with. Now I'm ending sentences with with; could that be another symptom?

Sorry but it probably is, best cut your credit card up now 😉

In terms of copyright, you need to check. There's a lot of music which is copyright expired, but this doesn't give you the right to copy a modern edition. You need to copy an edition that's out of copyright.
