Beginner Over Blowing "G"

Hi Guys, the problem I have is that whenever I play a G plus the octive key it over blows to the D above. This will happen if I play the note on its own or if the interval between it and the previous note is a large one. It doesn't happen if I play into the G from above or below. So playing A down to G is no problem. Likewise playing F to G is no problem. Now as food for thought, it's not the sax as both of them do the same thing one being a YTS 62 mk2 and the other being a T992. Any
ideas as to why and a solution would be most welcome:thumb:.

Cheers

Chris

make sure your lips are far enough down the mouthpiece. If you push a little more mouthpiece into your maouth (maybe 2 mm) and loosen up on the embouchure you may find you can hit that high G more cleanly.
