Lady parks car in city centre in legal spot. Truck comes along with canvas lined arms.
Picks up car, moves down street. blokes paint double lines, put up no parking signs, etc.. put car back facing the wrong way. passers by took movies with cell phones. The lady received tickets for all kinds of things.

Sounds like a stunt for a TV program.

Which Manchester are you talking about, if it's the real one (England), there are a couple of guys on the forum from there - or near there. They should know.

Sorry can't comment at the moment but suffice to say the company in charge of parking tickets in Manchester have become a law unto themselves and anything is possible.

Looks like a new road surface and there are plenty of warning notices on the wooden doors, a dropped kerb where the car was parked and it was too near a junction. Very little sympathy but you could report YJ56 KLZ for incorrect spacing of the number plate and for parking on double yellow lines.

Evidently the wardens have been told NOT to issue tickets when cars have been lifted to have lines painted.

Evidently lifting cars is more effective than putting up warning notices telling people not to park because of resurfacing.
