    Hi guys

What to say ... I'm a student, born and raised in (Rep. of) Ireland, and I'm an advanced beginner (an oxymoron if there ever was one) on the saxophone. I joined my hometown's local brass and reed band just after new year. They started me off on an alto sax, but I moved to a tenor a couple of months ago. I do not own the sax that I play, but I'm assured by our bandmaster that I have free use of it for as long as I'm in the group.

The instrument is called the Odyssey OTS-800. The limited research that I was able to conduct tells me that Odyssey is a subsidiary of the JHS Group, an English company operating several other brands. However, I still do not know where in the world my instrument is manufactured.

In addition to the saxophone, I am also an intermediate guitar and bass player.

So that's me, any questions, just ask.

Big welcome from me. Guessing your sax comes from China. Most of the unknown brands do. Can be good, can be bad, but if it plays ok, that's what matters.

Haha, good one! Yeah, it's a statue of Aristotle, one of my inspirational figures.

Thanks for the info. It plays fine, and it's a lovely sounding sax, I've just been having awful trouble with reeds lately. I suppose that if they're an English company, they might actually own their factory in the Far East and could also implement quality control as well.
