Saxophones New years promise broken,new sax coming!!!

Well i got up to 10 day's and i cracked.New years promise of no more gear and gas is a wash out.Been wanting a back up tenor for some while,had a back up years ago in my club days and i have lots on this year,it's abit mental so need 1 just incase.Getting a Yanagisawa 991 tenor with a bronze underslung neck this week so with my Yam Z and the Yani 991 i will be well sorted.Must thank Birdman of Studiosaxophones for sorting me out once again.The guy is great help and this will be my 6th sax from him.Hurry up Postman Pat,i want it now.The wife took it well,i must say i only told her half the story mindbut what's i man to do in such case's.I like my fishing tackle in my pants and not in the bin were she said they would go last time i had a gas attack

Well done mate!!!Don't worry about the new year's resolution. I'm sure you won't regret it. Fishing is a very "over-rated" past time any way!!!. Let us know how you get on with it.

Yes after speaking with you i went back to my wifes cousins who owns the 991 curved sop and 991 tenor and had another blast.I heard Birdman (pete scaddan) at Studiosaxophones had 1 in so bit the bullet.I had a back up tenor for years in the past and i need 1 for the coming year with 3 bands going on.Just joined a new wedding band thats booked up nearly 12 months ahead so want to be safe.I would only go the top line horns for a back up so the Z and 991 will sort me a treat,both outstanding works of art with there own sound and thing going on,what more could you have or want.😀

Well I made no such resolutions on account I'd be sure to break them.

I had planned to buy (and was just about to order) a new Mac Pro and associated goodies however last night mrs hd said I can't have it right now. I'm well pi**ed. Seems the brownie points earned by finally replacing the front and back doors, loaning her son a big bundle so he could buy his first house, loaning her daughter enough to buy a car, buying mrs hd a new laptop so she could give her daughter her old one all count for nowt.

I now can't buy the Mac Pro until I have finished the bedroom and study, the latter requires a lot of disruption, some cost and a fair bit of time on my part so it ain't gonna happen for at least a month.

Spent most of my dosh on the lot of em now can't dip into the joint pot! Seems fair don't it 🙁

Mines a early vintage model 991 Ford Escort Porsche model,the action aint as slick as the current models but it gets me from A to B, 🙂))🙂))🙂)) and it's in flame RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wont mention the rusty bits:shocked:

Dave, don't be too hasty. You never know, you might need a back-up for the back-up and have you got a baritone or C sax? Surely you are in need of a new mouthpiece or two, and then there is always that lig.
By the way, if you find that you have too much gear I am happy to take a good Yani off your hands - I've got £50 left in my piggy bank.

Yani 991 in the building.Came with 992 Yani bronze neck,very nice.1ST thoughts are it's very MK6ish in sound,as compact i mean.Thank's to Birdman,Studiosaxophones for great sax,service again:welldone:welldone:welldone:welldone.Back to blowing her now😀

Really liking this 991 horn.Finding the centre and it's very nice.Of the 3 or 4 991 horns i played this is the best,feels very blown in to me.I like it alot.My Z can be more in ya face but the 991 will be great for my jazz duo stuff.
