Having completely stripped a Yani A901 a few months back, I spotted a couple of close similarities in some of the features of this sax. Now of course it can't come from the same factory as the Yani because they only make Yanis, but look at the shape of the high F# (zoom in on 1st photo) and the side key rod clamp (photo 4). Someone's done their homework!

The underslung neck and double arms are features found on BW and G4M models, amongst others, as is the bronzy body colour.

Anyone know anything about these? @milandro perhaps?

A lot of Chinese companies copied the 901 - this horn looks like it could be from the same maker as the Sakkusu C-Melody . if so it`ll be good a cut above the usual Generics with Stagg , Windsor etc on the bell and up to Bauhaus AS-PD standards

Or "down to" in my personal experience and opinion.

Depends on what you`re comparing to and how much they actually sel for - the Bauhaus AS/TS-PD is about as good as Chinese saxophones get . compared to even a Generic Taiwanese horn (like an Elkhart Deluxe or TJ Revolution) , it falls down but it`s top of the Chinese tree ..

It`ll likely be made of Rose-Brass like the C-Melody and weigh a ton for the size of it . the C-Melody was as heavy as a Yam 21 Tenor !!

@milandro
I did a Google translate from the web page description:

NEW!
alto sax mib copper finish
golden keys
keys in abalone
Key ago #
double arm on low C

double arm down on you
adjustment mechanism on the cup ago
mechanism octave below the neck
double adjustment with adjusting screws up and low register
brilliant sound! powerful full over the entire range
complete with semi-soft case quilted
Includes: strap, mouthpiece, two reeds, gloves, cloth to clean,
Price: € 890.00

Regarding line 7, I've not known this to be prominent on a Chinese horn before? 😵

Don't be silly @aldevis the double arm has be down on you because it accommodates the adjustment method on the cup ago! How else could you have "brilliant sound! powerful full over?

Mandarin to Italian to English. International Chinese whispers.

I think they use the same company that write the instructions for servicing a Chinese motor cycle and flat pack furniture.

Google translate is known for it's amusing results, particularly with colloquial phrases eg -
French: Il prit ses jambes à son cou (= he took off in a hurry) --> English: He took her legs around his neck

No,nothing wrong about what the seller writes, this is normal Italian ( written by the seller who knows what he is talking about....in Italian!) , google translate just messes it up.

doppio braccio sul Si basso.

double arm on the low B.

All the rest is equally well written.

anyway.

At this price this horn cannot be Taiwanese. I have a certain first hand knowledge of these things.

The seller just bought some horns in China and the logo might have been applied there , or, as I suspect, in Italy upon arrival.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
