New: back to rehearsal with the band after an "unplanned" hiatus..

Better: the snow is melting.....:welldone

Worse: the pieces chosen for the concert on 4/30 are mostly hideous - half of them I'm transposing the baritone chart (trying to figure out how to get a low A on my tenor - foot/knee won't fit in the bell). ;}

Hey Lulu, just spotted this. Hope you're HH not giving you too much bother. Was it caused by too much sax?;} Seems there might be a link, re my hernia, and the abdominal strangulated hernia elsewhere on the forum.
Mebbe it warrants a special Hernia thread??;}

Better:-Flute
Worse:-Some idiot read a Macabuser article regarding cleaning up and speeding up his Mac. Downloaded a sweeper application, didn't read the instructions properly and cleaned off important files. Tried all the usual reinstall tricks but ended with a reformat and reinstall two OSs, bundles and individual apps.
The real difficulty is thinking up appropriate punishment for the offender.

New- Rediscovered Vandoren V16 reeds- used to use them exclusively, got experimental- going back to them feels great (not claiming they're the ultimate, just- after years of using them- they're like a comfy pair of shoes- but taste better!)....
Better- Longs tones, long tones ,plus my new jody jazz HR on alto has sorted out my alto sound (something I'd never felt I'd got right)....
Worse- (from the playing viewpoint) bank holiday- play with my kid vs practice- kid won... great weekend.... but not a great saxophone weekend...!

New: Bauhaus Walstein soprano bought on e-bay for £250
Better: had it checked out by sax technician, inperfect condition.
Worse: Had a seizure at weekend meaning could not play at all.

New: This week I've just discovered and mastered the lovely bass line by Bernard Edwards on 'I want your love' by Chic.

Better: I'm still here.

Worst: Tuesday morning hearing that my friend and colleague Barry died at the weekend. We can't really believe we won't see him again.
I loved him, but never said so, of course.

That nice Mr. Thomas, all this boasting about how young they are, makes my winging screws worse. Please make them stop.

BTW Pee Dee,
Just because you are addressing Colonials, there is no justification for lax grammar. We all know the Superlative Case is worserer.
