I just bought the Pete Thomas 'Naked City' CD. Absolutely fantastic. My newest favorite album. The cover art is equally stunning. I don't expect that I'll ever meet the models but does anyone know the locations of the photos? New Orleans, methinks.

Hopefully Pete will help, but he is a very busy man, currently coaching all his younger pupils through G.C.S.E Saxophone...............
It is a good album and I spent quite a bit of Christmas giving it a listen. Now on John Surman's latest CD - "Saltash Bells", which is also very good....................

Hopefully Pete will help,
The images were sourced mostly by the artist, and were from Wikimedia Commons mostly. The cover is the Apollo theatre in Harlem, 1947. A couple of others are probably new York, but I'm not sure of most of them. Maybe it's just some City somewhere where everyone walks around naked...

Hahaha - just spilt my coffee reading that and the images of all these naked bodies won't leave me now. that coupled with Fifty Shades of Grey isn't good for a woman of my age!!

Makes mental note to self - stay away from Naked cities full of sax players

No one is original, everyone is a derivative.
Interesting thought, but I think...... ( now as I say that, am i thinking what someone else told me to think )

Who knows? I stole that quote from someone - think it was Sonny Rollins. I'm not original enough to say something like that.

If you are not original you are derived from, but we can't all be derived from the same, so we must all be original. A one off.

What colour did your hair used to be?
Still dizzy blond (courtesy of the hairdresser) Haven't you read the latest talk about books Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed? They are predominantly for women (allegedly) but I'm sure a lot of men are reading them too.

Nor me either. I`m afraid Mr Stephen Howards bestseller abides in my bathroom cabinet.:w00t:

Yes I have heard of them vaguely, something to do with pornography aren't they?

But as far as that goes if you're not reading your own diary you're wasting your life.
