Looks like a keeper, Bassic sax has a good article on the different types of true tones. Can you also make a picture of the left pinky table? Just for my curiosity.

Looks very nice. That serial number should date it to about 1927. I'd also like to see the left little finger keywork. Looks like a pretty special True Tone. That serial number puts it into the normal range of a series iv, but the keywork looks like it may be from a iii

So, I can see from the pics on Saxophone.org that although it has a serial in the range normally associated with a
series iv it has the keywork of a ii or iii. I wonder if that's because it was made, and worked on extensively, before eventually having a serial stamped on it.

I think you may do. My buescher true tone in silver is very nice, but nothing like as nice as yours.
I don't say the other buescher or alto horn are bad or not Nice, but this horns, it's very special, it's just wooooow. Graving is just impressionate, i don't want to imagine the hard working by the worker, it had pasted plenty time for that, and the cost by company and the price when it sold in 1927, it would be just very very expensive for this period.

The original buyers had plenty money, it was riche and maybe businessman for daughter, or this wife, or great artist with plenty money.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
