Software Musescore Youtube

Just thought I'd mention in case anyone finds it useful;

Musescore actually works quite nicely on a Chromebook, and even plays nicely with a USI pen.
I'm no expert, not arranging stuff etc; I just wanted some basic music note pad ability in the music room. So it seems it was this or notefly. Instructions here.

I like to have a little fiddle with a bit of technology, from time to time; and having picked up an end of line Lenovo duo, thought I try it out in my 10incher. Seems pretty good.

Thanks, this is good to hear about, I just stumble about trying to make things work, maybe now I can become (semi)- competent.

I just acquired a Chromebook. Black Friday offer for a 15.6' Acer with 4Gb RAM and 64Gb eMMC.

I already installed MuseScore, but I'll need to customize it like I did on my Mac re keyboard shortcuts to avoid confusion.

It looks like a great alternative as a personal computer knowing I use a windows PC for work and I currently still have an old (10 years old) Mac book air.

I've been curious about these for a very long time. I tried a beta version installed on a netbook years ago.

I'm sure that I'll get frustrated by some of it's limitations. But so far, so good.

Well, tools for the job, innit. It's good to have choice and, IMHO, Chromebook does a good job as low powered browser-in-a-box with a little elbow room. It's not really tablet ready and the duo is a bit frustrating, but does it's job.

Actually, I discovered that my Chromebook also has a touchscreen. I had no idea... It makes it even more fun.

I've decided to return the model I purchased for a slightly better spec'ed one. Mine doesn't have a microsd card reader, has an entry level processor and is a bit on the low side regarding RAM and disk, so I'm going for the next model up with a better processor, twice the RAM, twice the disk size AND a microsd card reader. All for an extra 100€. I think it's worth it.

I guess I'm buying a couple of years extra...

Just thought I'd note; I finally got so irritated by the Chromebook Tablet that I splurged on a Lenovo 12'' android tablet, pen and all. It's lovely in comparison; like the first day of spring.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
