Mommas chicken soup

Bogatov, ehar betzim shehar?

1. A chicken
2. 2 or 3 carrots
3. 2 or 3 sticks of celery
4. Seasoning

Chuck the carrots and celery and the whole, washed chicken in a big pan. Season and add a pinch of dried mixed herbs. Bring to boil and simmer for 45 minutes.Take out chicken and let it cool a bit. Whiz up the carrots and celery in the stock in the pan. Take the chicken to bits and chuck out the skin. Put the meat and the bigger bones back in the pan and bring to the boil and simmer for 45 minutes. Fish out the bones and chuck away where your dog cannot get them.

This soup is just delicious and according to Jewish lore it will cure you of anything that may be wrong with you or that conceivably could go wrong with you in the future. It is so simple to make that my youngest son could almost manage it and he is only 26.

I used to have a jewish girlfriend. And this is one thing her mother often served. It is, truly excellent..

Aha, bout three quaters of the way up the chick will do. Simmer with the saucepan lid just slightly off so you dont lose too much.
