I'm looking for a hardware metronome that counts the off beats, e.g. with swing quavers. any ideas? (Found a software one, however prefer it to be portable). Was a scuk, no luck.

Thanks!

Korg MA30 is quite cheap and has a triplet rhythm with the middle beat omitted. It's a bit quiet but i can just about hear it over my playing.

Oh, so it does! :thumb:, I've had one of these for years and never went there. Don't need it though, I just listen to the beat and swing it instead. I tend to use one of the clockwork thingy's now as I find the rocking of the metronome helps me keep the beat.

Brilliant! I use the MA30 as well, didn't realize that was built in! Thanks BigMartin!

Your question was well-timed. I just got mine the other day!

Hi Alvin.

If you have an iPhone (which is portable) check out Tempo adv. its very sophisticated, can do everything except play your horn!

Cheers
