How long IS a Sarf Landon Week BTW ? , Three North of watford months and counting so far .

£250 for a refurbed Pan-Am and not sold ? ....... Wow .

Times are hard, I am sure, just been offered £300 for my Keilwerth.. like, I don't think so, it owes me more than that!
Wish I could help you out. can't some one buy this on the forum, sounds like a bargain horn to me!

I think the issues with the Keilwerth are
1:- it`s not got Keilwerth on it (you have to be in the know, well to know)
2:- it`s in need of a full refurb which would cost an unknown amount to put it right after dunking £500 for it
3:- it`s far from mint when its done (doesn`t matter with a Yam but to some will for a vintage)
4:- they`ll wonder why you haven`t done it ..

I`m not saying it`s only worth £300 but you can see why people are hesitant

Hi Ads, I disbelieve it would cost me more than £320, well if I leave it in your "rat look so to speak., I suppose you could strip the lacquer but then on something like this, it would probably depreciate it's value? Not sure? I heard most do not like relacs on vintage horns?

I have done it just out of curiosity to see if it would sell as is, I am 90% sure I am going to have it done anyhow.

Plus the low offer is from the well known sax dealer, accessories1- aka, shrekthakimi, suresh whatever, fractured.figure and several other usernames.

Regards Keilwerth not being stamped on it: does this not account for JK?

I`ve no dounts about the horn because I would trust you , recognised the form of the design even without seeing the logo but E-Bayers are wary at the best of times and don`t have Cafe insider knowledge . there are loads of people cracking on that horns are something they aren`t - I know You would never do that as I hope all here do but you`re average suspicious cynical Fleabayer doesn `t know you from Adam ..

:hugging: so sweet of you :D I do understand, especially re the "average suspicious cynical Fleabayer" But you know what, you have a really good idea there. I could add a link for the cafe' on the listings and get all sax maniacs to join, increased donations, and perhaps we all may be more successful on the yard sale :D:clapping:

YYYYYYYyyeeeeeeeeeeeooooooowwwwwwwww  ........... Fleabay RiffRaff iffy Sax Dealers polluting the cafe trying to join to push their dodgy wares - Pete would have to recruit 10 more moderators just to de-scummify the new registrees

You think so?! Scarey! perhaps not such a good idea after all! Not every one is bad, well only the cafe' people are nice :D

I'd love the Keilwerth. Unfortunately we're seriously skint at the moment - and I've already got a Shadow and a 20 year old German built EX90 so I really don't need another that I know will be further away from the sound I want (but probably closer to most other people's ideal). If I could justify the dosh I'd probably use it for jams.

Er, sorry - this was about Pan Am altos. Very nice I'm sure. If you like that sort of thing. I seem to recall I used to have a Pan Am baritone (memory's a bit hazy). Basic but fine.
