Hey everyone, so unfortunately the unthinkable has happened, and a taxi made off with my saxophones still in the trunk on the evening of March 16th 2014, around 10pm. I've placed phone calls to all the taxi companies, police stations and pawn shops to no avail. Apparently due to the fact that I flagged the taxi on the street and paid cash there is no record of the ride. Now, all I can do is ask for your help to spread the word about what has happened and hope that they are found are returned. These are the most important things in the world to me so I won't stop until I find out where they are and any suggestions or help is greatly welcomed.
CASH REWARD FOR RETURN

This is terrible. The police should be able to get the cab companies to narrow down the possible cabs due to time and area, even if there are no booking records. Sounds to me like they need to take it more seriously.

Were they insured?

Very sorry to hear about this loss

Good luck

One or two eminent taxi drivers frequent this forum

Chances are they weren't working in the Toronto metropolitan area on the night in question...

Are you able to give them a description of the driver (accent, size, ethnicity) or any distinguishing features of the cab.

(ie what size/make of airfreshener) Sorry if that appears flippant, but I notice things like that in cabs.

I can't believe the police aren't asking that ind of question for a robbery involving £5000+ of property.

So sorry to hear that, hope you get them back, we have members in Canada and the States so hopefully they will help spread the word

Jx

I am going to put this on my facebook in the next few minutes.

I have quite a few relations and friends in the USA and a few in Canada... also if they are being fenced it is likely that they would go over the border...

I'll ask people over there to share it on their fb, too.
