Hi, thank's for thought's.Yes that's the BW Bronze alto, great little sax.I love my BW Straight soprano, very good for the price. You cant go wrong.Cheers dave

Hi Dave

Great tune. May i know which sax, mpc, and reed you use??

Hi, it's a Bauhaus Walstein bronze alto,a Vandoren Jumbo Java A95 mp but have just dropped down a size and use a A75 jumbo java mp with a Rico H Ligature, there great lig's and La voz medium reed's or Razzco 2 1/2 reed.Just got another Yamaha alto ,yas 25 and it blow's so free and clear.Really love my alto combo at the mo,very easy blowing and i like a big bright clear sound on alto hence the above combo.cheers dave

Cheers Dave... With the same mpc and reed, will your yamaha give a brighter sound compared to your bronze BW?

Hi, yes it will but how do you compare bright,we all have our own thought's on bright, dark sound scape's.I dont think it's bright,i think it's more of a pure, soaring, singing clear alto sound on the yamaha.I have a soft spot for yamaha's.Had a few 62's and a 82Z AND A YAS 21 in the past, waiting for my new 82Z to come today in the post.the yam alto 25 has more power at hand also.Very happy with my alto combo at the mo.Would love a older 62 alto when cash comes.cheers d

Likewise Daveysaxboy:welldone great blowin.i still play my BW phos Alto everyday, great horns. Just discovered what David Dickenson would call a "Sleeper" a real bobby dazzler🙂
What is this you are asking:confused: the BW gold lacquer Alto; where as the Phos is based on a Yani A992 the GL model is based on the A991 🙂)) same spec same horn but in Brass with an underslung crook as well my favourite, wait for it they are cheaper than the Phos.
Check em out.
