Many people, in their hour of need, have been known to use an elastic band! :w00t: "Engineuity is the master of too many hands making moss stick to rolling cooks!" It's one of my favourite sayingso_O

String's better than lazzy bands. Failing that, a Rovner.

I had problems finding a lig to fit a vintage piece, so I bought one of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Alto-...Instruments&hash=item2ecc6cc464#ht_4741wt_911

Pulled it to pieces and reassembled it to fit.

If you measure the circumference of your mpiece and have a trawl through ebay there are lots of inexpensive, practical solutions. There's lots of very expensive ones too. You can find a chest of drawers while you're on there to store your collection of cheap ligatures. Every player should have one.
