Hi, thanks for your response.
My name is Paul Mills I play on P Mauriat saxophones I record from my own home studio and edit my videos myself , Looking to improve my playing through the YouTube platform and hopefully get a bigger profile, I’ve been playing the Sax for a long time and constantly working to improve my sound , filming in southern Spain at the moment for future YouTube videos , appreciate it if your could share my YouTube Channel / be interested to hear about your style of playing and experience regards Paul
Hi Paul, thanks for the info and welcome to the Café. The best way to achieve what you describe, and this applies to every activity online, including music, is the be a contributing part of a community. In the tech filed, I hired two employees after observing their online contributions. Being yourself and shari (an very much over-used word) is the best way to put yourself out there IMO. Adding takes to the Song of the Month here is a way to do that. Asking for and giving advice is another. I hope this doesn't sound "preachy", but I have lived and worked in the Internet since 1987, years before there was even the www. Today's Internet offers infinite possibilities. Part of that infinity is fake news, porn and IP theft, but all in all, there's a lot to be happy with. Good luck on the project, I have subscribed to see where it goes. Please do consider adding just a little more info to your YouTube videos, there's rarely enough on that platform. You might also consider sharing other videos of players you think are worth seeing who are possibly under represented on that platform.
Thanks very much for your helpful comments , yes I will take a look at other artists who need a lift and share there videos on a YouTube, glad I’ve joined this forum nice to hear from like minded people
