Saw him and wife Mary at the Brixton Hippodrome, many, many moons ago. Fantastic.

Remember him for multi-tracking, 'How high the moon', his sheer musicality and a good axe, not for the overloud guitarists at your local session.

Yes, I too was sorry to hear of his death.
There will probably a huge auction of his guitars.

You mentioned the Brixton Hippodrome, not usually considered the hippest place.
I've just seen a clip on U-tube of the mighty T-bone Walker from 1966, backed by Clark Terry, Teddy Wilson, Zoot Sims, Louie Bellson, Benny Carter, Bob Cranshaw and Dizzy Gillespie.
