I am new to this site and was wondering how you folks would compare these 2 different metal mouthpieces to each other? I am just starting back getting my chops back in shape after many years of not playing. So far i have liked the ease of play on the Morgan 7EL and the 6EL and a couple of the old MC Gregory hard rubber pieces. Thanks so much

Hi welcome to the cafe. ;}

I can't help you with the mouthpiece question but why don't you introduce yourself on the doorbell section and say hi to all;} and I am pretty sure you will have some answers soon.

Hi oldtoneholes, although i don't have a Barone mouthpiece i do have a Lawton 7*bb and also a Lawton 10b, and a Guardala mb11, i find the 7*bb gives quite a bright sound more like the Guardala but without the volume and is also more resistant, the 10b is a much harsher piece altogether.
I may be wrong but i think the Barone vintage (piece and not sax which i do have) is modeled after a vintage Otto link so would have a low baffle and produce a very different sound to the Lawton.
