This is a nice horn. It is ser no 96***. There are no markings apart from made in Germany beneath the number. No engraving, no brand name even. Bare unlacquered brass that appears to have been DIY stripped as there are a few remnants of remaining lacquer here and there. A nice bare brass patina is about to set in if you like that kind of thing. It will still set in even if you don't.
I bought this from ebay as a gamble, it cost about £100 and (of course) was not in playable condition as stated. BUT, it is now, because Stephen Howard has sorted it very nicely, so I just want to (almost) cover my costs and will sell this for £140 for a quick sale. It has no case beyond the cardboard box I find to send it in. It's way better IMO than a £250 cheap but good for the money Chinese alto.
Will post some pics and soundclips soon. It's a good horn, honest.
