I had the pleasure of seeing Kirk Whallum last year alongside John Stoddart in a very small theatre playing Gospel, it was a great experience being so close to the man.
He is my favourite tenor player (not that I know loads) but is also equally as good on soprano, I just love the feeling he puts into his playing, one day I will see him and Gerald Albright playing together. 😀

nice, so between us we both interacted with the people involved in this tune, you met Kirk and i played with the band from the Stylistics back in the 90's in Newcastle

I've just discovered Kirk (through this very forum) and really dig his playing. This tune takes me back to my youth smooching away at the local disco.

Hahaha. I don't know what you could possibly mean. I went to an all girls school. Oh those poor boys didn't know what had hit them. We thought we were so cool and grown up. Lol
