Hi All, I know I said a few weeks ago that this baby wouldn't end up here but it's getting near xmas and my car is a heap of rust and I need to sort out another so I really could do with extra funds! I'm in Cornwall atm so photos will be sent on request when I check my emails etc.
It's the King true voll silver plate alto that I recently accquired for a really good price. It has sharp engraving and a goldwash bell as well as appearing to have been recently overhauled. It has a brand new set of pads that have plastic resos and the original case is in tip top condition with the old paper badge inside - very nice example. I haven't checked s/n but think probably 1930, it's low pitch and sounds absolutely wonderful, very loud. I have 3 altos so can manage to let one go to a good home as it's essential right now.
My asking price is £275, this includes the cost of sending it to mainland UK and a decent donation of 10% to Pete's charity. I will pop in a mouthpiece with this too as it didn't come with one. Yes, it is a little more than I paid but my asking price will cover all of the above (I always pay extra for safest delivery) and I really think it's worth it as it's a wonderful sax. I would be more gutted about it sitting idle in the case each week etc.
PM if interested :)
Thank you,

It would go very nicely with my circa 1927 King tenor but would be a total GAS attack.
Any piccies available? Oh and what mouthpiece are you planning to include?

You have tempted me, but I am way over in the states, not sure how the shipping and funds would happen.

Hi All, I am able to sort decent photos on my return on Mon 3rd, or if you PM me your email address I can send the ones I have available over later this eve when I'm back from a concert. what, I may be able to do shipping to the states but it gets pricey and I don't know how customs works for sending heavy items such as a sax over seas etc. I'd have to bump the price up to cover it and that's probably naughty to do as I'm already asking a tiny bit more than I paid to cover my shipping, donation and post etc - there's really no point in me doing an eBay sale as I'll end up screwed over by them again. The mouthpiece as it stands at the moment will be a brand new Gigliotti spectrum clear mouthpiece. I haven't used it really, only to try out. It apparently compares well to a Hite m/p but it sounds ok on the King. The tip is too closed for me but anyway it's included and can be sold on if it's not to your taste. But please pm me with email addresses and I'll sort photos to give you a better idea. I do need to sell this but can't afford to short change myself and it is so worth the buy at this price! :) Thanks,

Btw, the extra amount I was asking was £50 - at the end of a sale and post, donation etc I will be left at where I started, so it's just a break even sale for me! :)

I can confirm that GAS has struck in my house and I am now the happy owner of this horn.. so I guess it is mouthpiece and reed trialling time now :D
