I really like the sound you are getting on your Mark VI? tenor. What set-up and reed are you playing on to get that bit of "edge" when you push the sound a bit?

I'm playing a very middle of the road set up. 7stm usa (bought new in the day. If you bought a STM that's what you got.) and a hemke 2 1/2 reed. I use this set up for all types of gigs.

I`m looking forwards to (1) listening to the takes and (2 ) having a go. I`m unfortunately living out of boxes for the duration with no internet, barring public library. It`s kinda good in a way as I can at least practice without distraction. and I have doownloaded the BT and sheet onto a pendrive so that's a start. LOL

Stylistically almost identical to my alto post, it's the only way I know how to play this number. My chops are pretty tired I played 3 big band gig over the weekend a lesson yesterday, ran through this a few times today by the end of this take my chops were going and was beginning to lose intonation.
