I am currently using this piece to emphasise my tone and expression ....as a practice piece ,,, that is until he goes into altissimo...

I've loved this since I first heard it on Unplugged, must be over 15 years ago. JRs version is super, but maybe misses the sadness of the original (it was written as a lament after EC's son fell from a balcony and died).

I'm going to have a go at it as well. I don't think I'll get anywhere near his expressiveness, sadly.
