I noticed this DG King on ebay at around 100 pounds, would it not be possible to have a refacer, like Morgan Fry work on it and come up with something like the handmade DG. MP that sell for about 600 to 1000.?

There are some differences where the laser trimmed ones are machined in places DG used to do by hand, so the interiors are always a little different. But in theory, pretty much yeah you can do that. In practice, it depends entirely on who does the work.
